About us

Built by people who test software for a living

TestInspector did not come out of a product brainstorm. It came out of a decade of running other people’s test suites and watching the same failure keep wasting everyone’s time.

Why we built TestInspector

When you test other people's software for a living, you see the same pattern in almost every codebase you are handed. A suite that used to be trusted slowly stops being trusted, because a handful of tests fail for reasons nobody can reproduce.

What happens next is always the same. Someone re-runs the job. It goes green. The failure is never investigated, because investigating it is expensive and re-running is free. Then someone adds a retry. Then someone skips the test. And the suite quietly stops being evidence of anything.

The frustrating part is that the information needed to diagnose a flake is usually already sitting there, in the difference between the runs that passed and the runs that did not. It just takes patience nobody has at 6pm on a release day.

TestInspector is that patience, automated. It re-runs the same commit until the flake shows itself, reads the failures against the passes, names the cause, and proposes a patch scoped to the test. It does not quarantine, and it does not merge anything. You review it like any other diff.
